Operated by Robert Joseph from Kambot Village on the Sepik River, The Artefact Haus is part of Madang Lodge’s commitment to supporting local enterprise and tourism to Madang Province. All profits from the Artefact Haus go directly to the craftsmen, as the hotel takes no commission.

The traditional carvings of Robert Joseph and his line are steeped in cultural and historical significance and can also be seen throughout the Madang Lodge Hotel as key features and pieces within the architecture and décor.
